I guest-starred on an episode of Mysteries Decoded with the wonderful Jennifer Marshall to tackle the mysterious rumors of an underground base existing inside the Archuleta Mesa mountain in Dulce, NM. We looked into the rumors of a hidden base where alien/human hybrid experiments and a battle took place, the surge of animal mutilations in Dulce, and the saga of Paul Bennewitz and Richard Doty.
New Mexico has always been the centralized location of the nation’s most advanced technology. After WWII it was the scene of so much secret work. Ever since we began nuclear research in the 1940’s it seems that UFO’s have followed.
- Trinity site-world’s first nuclear bomb was detonated
- White Sands-test site for rockets, training used for NASA for space shuttle pilots
- Los Alamos-where the atomic bomb was created in secrecy
Mysterious incidents continue to swirl around Mount Archuleta in northern New Mexico. Members of the Apache Nation frequently report sightings of unusual craft focused on the mountain. Lights and crafts have been seen coming in and out of the mountain. We know that underground bases exist but did one exist that housed different races of aliens?!
DULCE BASE
The alleged location of a secret 7 story military facility inside the Archuleta Mesa mountain range. Supposedly it houses different races of ET’s, and reptilians, along with genetic experiments conducted on humans such as mind control and cloning. Purportedly Eisenhower had a treaty claiming that aliens could abduct humans for experiments in exchange for alien technology. There’s been no proof of this. In 1979 a whistleblower named Phil Schneider claimed that a battle between aliens and humans titled the Dulce Wars, took place in the base and resulted in a massacre of scientists and military personnel. In 1986 the Dulce Papers were leaked to the UFO community by a worker named Thomas Castillo who documented the levels of experimentation at the base. Everything is hearsay from whistleblowers and locals. The one thing that’s interesting is that for decades the locals of Dulce have seen crafts fly in and out of the mountain. The rumors of this base are thought to have originated from a man named Paul Bennetwitz.
PAUL BENNEWITZ
Bennewitz was an electronics entrepreneur who built devices for NASA and sold parts to Kirtland AF Base. While living across from the base he started picking up weird electronic transmissions on his equipment and started seeing UFO’s flying over the base. He believed that he was receiving transmissions from aliens so he began obsessively documenting what he saw. Concerned that aliens were going to take over the world, he contacted the Air Force as a concerned citizen to tell them what he witnessed. It’s said that Bennewitz was actually seeing highly classified military aircraft while tapping into national security programs that he shouldn’t have had access to. In the 1980’s he started spreading rumors about Dulce Base and detailed his experiences in a paper called Project Beta. Was Bennewitz getting too close to the truth or was he an overzealous UFO researcher? Here is where Richard Doty comes in….
RICHARD DOTY
Richard Doty is a former special agent for the US Air Force Office of Special Investigations. As a disinformant, he was tasked with feeding false information to UFO researchers, like Paul Bennewitz. He fed UFOlogist’s lies and half-truths knowing that their imaginations would do the rest. He was trained to lie! He was told to make Bennewitz believe there was an impending alien invasion because he was really observing secret AF projects. The AF wanted to discredit Bennewitz so that no one would figure it out. Doty misdirected him into believing that the messages were from aliens. Bennewitz was also a pilot and often flew over Dulce base. Doty would accompany Bennewitz on his flight excursions claiming that props would be planted on the mountain. After a while Doty even started to believe that what Bennewitz was seeing was extraterrestrial in nature because he himself couldn’t explain the objects and lights. Rather than covering up the existence of aliens, could it be that the real conspiracy had been persuading us to believe in them?
RICHARD DOTY INTERVIEW
I was really looking forward to interviewing a “man in black”. I had so many questions written down in my notebook to ask Doty. I wanted to pay close attention to his body language and try to decipher whether or not he was telling the truth. There were 2 amazing things he told us that stuck out to me. One was about his time working at Area 51. He claims that he walked past a room and he saw a real alien being videotaped sitting next to 2 government officials who were trying to telepathically communicate with it. He said that he was part of an actual abductions unit that would abduct women ages 14-18?? WHAATTT?
During the interview, I was sitting there sweating with my hair blowing in my face trying to digest what amazing information Doty was telling us. Were all of these stories lies? Sure he was a professional disinformant but he had no reason to lie anymore? I didn’t have time to take thorough notes but here are some random statements from the interview.
- He saw reverse engineered crafts
- Some of what we see in the sky is US reveresed engineered craft
- Military aircraft can fly without lights in designated areas
- I asked him his thoughts on Lazar-he said he was legitimate. only someone working at Area 51 would know how its sectioned off and how you need certain color codes to get in areas
- Developed personal relationship w/PB. PB had already believed in UFO’s. He was friends with him up until the day he died saying that his own health killed him. Doty started believing PB when he himself witnessed things he thought were of an ET nature
ANIMAL MUTILATIONS + PROJECT GASBUGGY
In the 1970’s there was a high amount of unexplained cattle mutilations in Dulce. We spoke to Avery Tafoya who is a familiar face when it comes to Dulce. As a member of the Jicarilla Apache Nation, his own family had their share of encounters with strange activity. His father was chief of police and investigated the first cattle mutilations and reports of alien activity in the area. He recalled stories where his father saw what looked to be tripod marks near the site of the mutilations. The consistencies with the cattle deaths are alarming. I’ve spoken with several ranchers in Colorado who have experienced the same. Through my research, I discovered something called Project Gasbuggy. In 1967 the Atomic Energy Commission detonated a nuclear device near Dulce as a way to not only find a use for nuclear weapons but to release natural gas trapped underground. Think of it as modern-day fracking. Did the government mess up and release radiation that had an effect on the livestock? One explanation is that the government was hoisting these cows up onto black helicopters to monitor the effects on the cattle, taking samples of the tissues, then putting the cows back. This could explain why straps and gas masks were found at some of the sites where these cows were. This sounds completely ridiculous though!!! It wouldn’t explain every mutilation all over the midwest. I find it hard to believe that no one would notice a cow being lifted up into a helicopter. I can understand the government covering up their mistakes but geeeez. There are theories relating to the use of blood and tissues. Were cows being dismembered to look for radioactive issues?
